Dustin J. Ashby | Information Technologies Specialist
Dustin Ashby's primary role is to orchestrate all elements of the firm's information technology ("IT"). However, based on his interest in the legal system and his ability to multitask, Dustin has developed detailed knowledge in relation to many of our paralegal tasks. Serving a dual role within the firm, Dustin adds duplicate value for each firm client.
Dustin has engineered all IT systems within the firm, from the integrated phone system to network security and disaster recovery planning to the coordination of electricians and other third party providers to ensure that the facility is on par for accommodating IT needs. Dustin spearheads the all-critical server backups, provides end user support for all of the firm software, orchestrates any restacks, maintains hardware, software, and administers the firm website, managing all design changes and creation of new pages as necessary, based on direction from Attorney Artell.
As a paralegal, Dustin is a super user of various public information websites, such as the Recorder of Deeds, Prothothonotary's office, and Tax Assessment Offices within various counties where the firm does client work. Dustin can quickly unearth property information, deeds, easements, rights of way, liens, satisfactions, judgments, etc. Further, he is no stranger to the interior of the Courthouse in various counties, where he has filed many documents and researched many title chains and other types of filings. Dustin is also has a knack for writing and grammar. As a result of his tenure as a drafter of guides and training information manuals, he provides an unexpected solid review of draft documents. In many firms, IT professionals are added overhead burden baked into hourly rates which clients must absorb. By contrast, at ALG, we have the luxury of supplying client value by way of the dual roles occupied by certain "overhead" positions.
In his free time, Dustin enjoys building personal computers, small DIY projects, and dabbling in video game development.
